Aaron are attatchments allowed? I was looking through the showing off forum and also thinking in any forum sometimes a pic will help (especially the ID forum). Most people do not have the facilities to upload there pics and know the address for the [img] code.

currently there is not a way to attach files.

There is a mod/hack that I can install on the forum to allow uploading of files to this server where they can be attached. I have not installed it yet as its a bit involved.

If I am feeling lucky tonight I might try to install it. But dont fear it will be installed.

Ok I think i got the attachment hack working. This is a test to see if I can sucessfully upload an image.

Yep looks like it works. Now to check out the admin control of the attachments.

Ok its working it looks like.

I have placed the following restrictions on allowable attachments. Image files are the only allowed attachments to be uploaded. There is a file limit of 512KB for the attachments and a maxium allowable attachment limit of 3 per post.

Your also allowed to send attachments via PM. I will be testing this out with you also.

Which file formats? I assume .jpg and .gif any others.

Yes, most of the popular image formats and some of the less popular ones. The break down is below.

Acceptable attachment extentions:
bmp, gif, ief, jpg, jpeg, jpe, png, tiff, tif, ras, pnm, pbm, ppm, rgb, xbm,xpm,xwd
