typing response problems - Aquarium Advice

fairly frequently, while typing on AA, I somehow hit a key sequence that makes the cursor replace text instead of adding new letters. Very frustrating. Anyone know what I did and how to reverse it?

you may have hit the "Insert" key. that is actually a toggle key. By default you are in "insert" mode. hitting that key toggles you into "replace" mode.

next time it happens, try hitting the insert key once and see if that helps.
