150g ca/sa build/update thread.

I will be be updating this thread as the build goes along. Here is a picture of the stand and the tank. The tank will be on the stand tomorrow and filled up tomorrow night or saturday.

That stand doesn't look to safe to put that big of a tank on it. Are those 1x4s as legs?

Alright good cause I was going to say 1x4s will break under the weight of the tank. I have three 2x4s in each corner of my stand and two in the middle (front and back so 4 total) it holds my 125 but I was a little nervous at firat

Ya. Im a little nervous too. But it held about 2,000 pounds in smaller tanks. I had two 55s full if water and 2 10s and a 20 long that i had sit on there for a couple days. It held. Lol

Well my latest is

1 salvini
1 festae
1 grammode

But all of them grow slow except the jag. But im going to a lfs tomorrow and they have red tiger motas and vieja syns so well see tomorrow haha.

Liking the list.Only thing I'd say is get the Jag smaller than the rest as he will grow quickly and this may cause problems as they can get pretty aggressive.

I would paint the back of the tank black if you're able to. It will give allot cleaner look overall to the set up.

So far it will be filtered by 2 canister filters. A cascade 1000 and a filstar xp l.

UPDATE: the tank is on the stand!!!! It will be filtered by two canisters and i will save up for a fx5 or ehiem classic and put the cascade 1000 on a 55. I switched some filter media in the filstar. It had chem-stars and i put them in but also put some bio-balls in. In the first basket there is the 30pp media then the ammonia reducing pad. The second basket has the chem-stars and bio balls. The third basket has the black media stuff then some nitrate reducing pads. The cascade 1000 is just stock.

I race mountain and road bikes. Ok back to your tank. Looking good. I just got a 180 gallon hoping to get it in the house by the end if the weekend. Filling along as you go.

We get our water from a well so im going to fill it up half way tomorrow and the rest on monday. If i use to much water and the well goes dry its bad lmao. Good luck with your tank! Im going to a lfs to see what i want to stock it with.
