2.5 gallon stocking? Apistos.

My betta is getting old. And starting to look ill. I don't think it's going to be anytime soon, but in the event the betta dies what kind of stocking options could I do with a 2.5 gallon.

Honestly if I could get 1 Appisto in there that would be sweet, but I don't know anything about them, and what space they need.

Is there any miniature Shellie's?

Other options?

I know a 2.5 gallon isn't much room at all, but it's filtered and heated. Thought it would be worth asking.

I suspected as much, well is there anything cool I can do with a 2.5 besides a betta,

I already have a 75, 55, two 30's, and a 10, so getting another 10-20 would piss off the girlfriend extremely, lol.

Most of the fish in my 30 have short life expectancy, 3-5 years, so I will definitely being doing apisto's at some point. Might not be until I'm 30, but it's going to happen.
