So one of my canisters i have set up pretty normal then other is on the way? Do i set it up as the same or use this for bio or just use sponges and teddy bear stuffing and use it like a major cleaner? This new one will have a uv light if that matters?

So canister 1

From top to bottom
Kitchen sponges
Amino chips and carbon
Filter pads

Canister 2??
It had 3 trays so what to do?

Thanks guys

The nice thing about canisters is that you can arrange media however you want. But since they go longer between cleaning than HOB you need to watch if you use floss or fine pads that will clog faster. Some of us use canisters mainly for bio and HOBs polishing because they're easier to clean weekly.

So i set up my Canisters real quick... Pre wire management photos but i hate the spray bars i hate the look of them. I have a super high power head in the tank.. Placement of intake in corners. Power head is shoot from the right across the whole tank. Spray bars are shooting to the front of the tank i have them vertical. Anybody suggest loosing the spray bars? I would love to get rid of them. Also used smart foam from hobby lobby 12 bucks for 3 feet as a filter for the 1 and 2nd tray then a piece of poly foam as a finer pad.
