I recently bought a 55 gal tank. I'm new to aquariums and fish and ended up going with cichlids. I set up my tank best I could. I think it's ok at best. I wanted to see if you guys had some ideas on how I could make my tank go from ok to amazing.

Wanna make the tank "pop"?

Pair the back, outside of the glass black or dark blue (I prefer black); it will help to hide all the cords, reduce the noticeability of filter equipment, and draw attention to the contents of the tank

Also, add a LOT more rocks! If cost is an issue, use limestone rocks! They're a natural water buffer (aka, it'll make the water better for your fish) and it adds a natural look! And try not to make them looked stacked. Lol

The first pic is of my tank when it was a community tank and the second is when i just redid it and made it an all male tank

Yea I was thinking of putting something back there but I wasn't thinking solid colors. I love that black idea. Thanks

They guy at the store recommended I use the epoxy on my rocks I just feel like it too final for me. Did you use any on your tank?

Nope. Lol

Just take your time when stacking; like I'll place one and then really jiggle it around and adjust it until it's solid and no longer has any wiggle room

Ok I updated my tank from the original picture. What do you guys think?
