Can you keep a knife fish with cichlids???? How about sharks????[/b]

I'm not positive about the knife fish, although I would guess [acronym:5203188e6f="Normal Output Fluorescents"]NO[/acronym:5203188e6f]. Liveaquaria.com says that passive New World cichlids might make OK tankmates, but I doubt that you are referring to passive cichlids.

As far as the sharks go, the same web site says that similar sized New World cichlids could make good tankmates, but nothing of the Africans.

Depending on what type of cichlids you are trying to add to, you might just be putting 'targets' in the tank with them by adding either of those fish.

knifes have different varieties. which type were you considering? one of the species gets rather large, i believe that they are night time feeders and need to be very calm in the day
