a question about my convict cichlid - Aquarium Advice

im pretty sure my convict is a male but im not sure. anyways my question is what does the fatty bump on a male look like and what color is it?

mine doesnt have a fatty bump.... a male doesnt get as brilliant a coloration as females. my females get orange on their bellies, and a blue on their fins. males also grow faster and bigger.
