? about Rams
Will rams attack shrimp? or anything like that? Just wondering. I've never had any type of ram before.

I've never heard of Rams attacking anything other than each other during mating or territorial disputes. The concern may be in whether or not the shrimp will attack the Rams.

Ah Thanks. I was just wondering if they would attack my bigger shrimp (vampires and bamboo). I don't want to lose them at all. They are my most favorite organisms. I might get a pair of rams. What would be the smallest/most common/hardiest type(s) to keep? And do they need/like anything special?

The most sensitive is the German Blue Ram. I've attached a profile for you to take a look at: http://www.aquariumadvice.com/viewtopic.php?t=60871
The hardiest is the Bolivan Ram. Both require a little more care than most other fish.

Ah Thanks and your online right now. I'll have to see what my [acronym:203e74ee97="Local Fish Store"]lfs[/acronym:203e74ee97] has in stock. Do you know the reg. price for them off hand? I think I saw blue rams for $7 each last time I was there.
Nice pics. From the water params it looks like they will go well in my tank. I just have to spend time acclimating them. |

Depending on your [acronym:e0877e7890="Local Fish Store"]LFS[/acronym:e0877e7890] source, be prepared to shell out anywhere from $6 to $9 apiece for German Blues. I'm not sure what the going rate for Bolivans are but they won't be that far apart.
