african cichlids volume 2

what african cichlids do you prefer and which should i get?

Oh I love them all. BUT, I only keep Lake Malawi Cichlids. The Mbuna's have great colors and cute bodies, then again, so do the Peacock's and Hap's. My favorites are the Mbuna's though. Favorite Cichlid, Acei's.

thank you i think i might try the peacock because of the patterns and also the look and unique style it might bring to my tank.

you said you like a cichlid called a mbuna!! could you give me more info on that- i have never heard of it?

10 gallon- aggressive with 1 blue texas cichlid
10 gallon-small feeder fish tank with cold/brackish water conditions
20 gallon-full to extremely aggressive with 3 covict cichlids

55 gallon-fully aggressive tank with 2 jack dempsey cichlids,1
jewel cichlid, 1 albino oscar and a large very aggressive red oscar
1 betta bowl-peacefull with 1 male betta
1 large betta bowl-peacefull with 1 crown tail betta

Mbuna is the Cichlid Group. Try the Pseudotrophus "family". I'm not exactly sure what you would call that. Try this website.

HAHA. It's ok. When the guy at the [acronym:08c7652c49="Local Fish Store"]lfs[/acronym:08c7652c49] told me that a fish that I was looking at was a mbuna I said, nuh uh. That's not what the name tag says. It says it's a Electric Yellow. Talk about embarrassing.
