"Inch long" malawi's should do just fine in a 10gal for a month. They're somewhere between the fry and juvenile stage at that size. I've grown out mbuna fry in 10gals many a time (before relocating them to larger grow out tanks) with no aggression issues for the most part.

However, to my eyes your fish appear significantly larger than an inch (2.25"-2.75"?) and have attained some level of maturity based on finnage and coloration development in addition to sheer size. Immediate re-homing of your malawi's highly suggested.
