air pump for cichlids?

Hey guys, I'm in the planning stages of my 55gal build. I bought the aquarium used and he had an air pump in there he gave me. It has two stones and valves to turn each off. I know these are benificial for gas exchange, but will these stress my cichlids out? Maybe just one is better? My tank's demensions are 30"x18"x26" if that helps.

My cichlids love the air bubbles. I watch them play in the bubbles all the time.

Air bubbles won't bother the fish, and the additional circulation is a good thing.
