What kind of algae eaters will go well in a tank with 2 blood parrots and other semi aggressive fish? I'm also having an outbreak of diatoms I believe and was wondering if now would be a good time to add something to feast on it and what would not get eaten by the other fish. Thanks for any help, it's much appreciated.

Diatoms will go away on their own, just give it time. Algae eaters are not the solution to algae, no excess nutrients or too long of a light cycle is key. No more than 10 (preferably 8 ) hours of direct light, and plenty of wc's and you will be fine.
