I've had a small multi tank for about 2 months, and its started to get a really bad outbreak of diatom algea, and well as a bunch of green algae that looks like the diatom algae, except in color.
I've heard that you can't really put otos in with them, because of aggression, but what else can you do? I have to clean the glass off everyday, and the sand looks really really gross.

What can take care of it?

watch your lighting times and do lots of water changes. I do a 50% pwc weekly in my 10g tank with multis and also have some anacharis in there. zero algae. I do have some black brush algae on the shells, but that was there when i got them and has been going away slowly ever since
