55g tank with four jewels thinking about adding angel fish in the future ?

Kribs would probably be ok since they are african river Cichlids aswell

The jewels will far outgrow the kribs and most likely kill them I'm my opinion.

Ounce for ounce, jewels may be the most violent and disagreeable cichlid around, IME. I have one that's been in a 15 gallon tank by himself for several years now, as he killed both females he was with, and then proceeded to seriously mangle the fins of three synodontis catfish, all of which were more than twice his size. Just decided I wasn't gonna risk carnage any more and gave him a home of his own.
