Another Cichlid ID

I have what I thought were srt hongi can anyone ID them? Their stripes fades on and off at times.

SRT hongi stripes will fade to more of a female coloration at times. This fish though looks more like a elongatus. Perhaps a chailosi. Not sure on the variety. My SRT were more red or orange. No yellow. Also the picture chiclid appears skinnier and longer than a SRT. Could be a hybrid.

Yeah. I'm slightly disappointed since I thought I could trust the seller. Sigh. I'll grow it out and see what it will turn into.

It's not an elongatus chailosi. Kinda hard to ID totally from pics at times but flip through the photos on this link, under the main picture. Cichlid Profiles
