Are bolivian ram chichids shy fish

I Want a fish as a " centre piece " I bought a dwarf gourami but it's to shy I never see it
I want to return and gett Bolivian

Your tank is too small for a pair of Cichlids IMHO.

IMO it just depends on the fish and whose it's with. My friends Bolivian rams are shy though. What size tank?

It sounds like the tank you have is already fully stocked. Bolivians are not as delicate as GBR, but they are still sensitive to water parameters, so I don't think your tank would be the best home for one personally.

IMO mollies need a tank about twice that size. They get far too large for a 15 gal tank, and produce a lot of waste. I wouldn't add anymore fish at this point since you're already overstocked. If you remove the mollies, the tank could possibly be large enough for a bolivian, depening on the footprint of the tank. What is the length and width of the tank? The bolivians I've kept haven't been very shy.
