If my female Auratus defeated my tank boss male Auratus in a spin fight, could her colors show a little bit of the male blue underneath? :fish2:
she has obviously defeated him because he runs for shelter everytime she comes near him. or do you think she maybe a he. she's about 4 inches long and has always been pretty tough.

If you're seeing blue coloration, then my thought would be that the "female" was in fact a subdominant male. Did "she" every breed for you?

at one point when i first got the male auratus she acted like she was holding, not eating and showing a bit of a pouch in the mouth area...shes not showing all blue, shes just showing a hint of blue under her normal color...they just went at it again. not sure who won this time yet.
