I inherited care of a 185 gallon tank. It houses the following 6 fish:

7" Sailfin Pleco
7" Flowerhorn
9" Oscar
3 x 6" Pike Cichlid (Two appear to be the same species and the third is unique)

There seems to be little aggression in the tank. It has been up and running for about 6 months. The Oscar picks on the flowerhorn a bunch, but nothing too bad and they all seem to have their own space for now. I am concerned about what will happen in another 6 months when the pikes get bigger. Will they be able to coexist? Will the bioload be too big for this tank?

Thanks.

There are never any garauntees when it comes to cichlid behavoir. IME if the fish have already staked out their territories, things will be fine even as they grow. The biggest danger would be in adding new fish. 185g should be fine for those fish.

I think the tank sise is fine also..... Time will tell as to weather they get along some will some won't, evry fish is different. IME i've had both placid and extreamly aggressive oscars. I wouldn't try to add more, unless your prepared to lose them!
