Just thought I'd share my dominant male in my mbuna tank. He's about 5". Sorry for the glass reflection, the tank is actually at the family business instead of at home.
He's very cool looking. I have a female that's a hybrid producing machine. I have male bee x probably ice blue? That always breeds with my female bee. Usually I just let her spit in and tank and the fry are never seen. But I did a big water change and caught two survivors and I'm growing them out. They are black and yellow and seem to have way more stripes than your average bumblebee.
They tend to change color a lot. They get darker when they are stressed or not dominate. They get bolder stripes when they decide to show some dominance
Yea mine lacks the real stripe look like the pics above it has more like blotches. Mine seems like the opposite and gets almost black when in fight mode.
