Black Convict Cichlid Questions

Hi all. I have some questions about the black convict cichlid.

1. Would one convict get along with a large school of tiger barbs and a bristlenose pleco?
2. What size do they grow to? Some sites say 6", some say 3-4.
3. Would a 30 gallon be a large enough tank to house one in? Some sites say they need only 24 gallons, but those were the sites that said the only grew to 3-4 inches.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

This is the only part I can help you with, females have some yellow colouring on belly and are smaller the males
