I have four juvenille cichlids in a 30 gallon tank (in talks for a 75). They eat Aqueon mini pellets every other day. The tank also has hornwort and Anacharis is it which they nibble on. Today we feed them 20-30 pellets and they all ate quickly; even wiped out the ones we put in the floating hornwort for them to hunt. 2 hours later, the White Tail Acei looks bloated. He is still active at all levels of the tank but looks round. Am I looking for problems or should I do something? I turned off the light but haven't done anything else.

Ammonia 0
Nitrites 0
Nitrates 10ppm
PH 8.0
Temp 78 degrees

Are you really counting those pellets? and keep an eye on it sometimes they can over eat and have a big belly, or it could be Malawi bloat

Not really counting, just giving an estimate for reference. He seems to be very active but just round. He comes to the top with the other cichlids when I approach the tank but won't cooperate for a good picture.

As long as you're feeding them good quality food as not dumping pellets in there it should be fine. I have a few red tops that swell up after a good feeding but are fine. I wouldn't put more good than they can eat in 2-3 minutes. It's hard for any food to hit the sand in my tank unless I really over feed.

Don't feed them the rest of the day, and don't feed them tomorrow. If it doesn't go away it's bloat. Get some peas and feed those it will help the bloat go away.
