Well this person I know whats a blood parrot and a cichlid tank mate.... Problem is I have honestly no idea what these things need. She said she wants a fish with personality and doesn't get the "hump" on his head. Yeah so I'm a little stuck on what exactly can go with these things. Help is really appreciated.

Is the blood parrot the centerpiece of the tank?

I would say severum or angel fish, and maybe some boesemani rainbow fish as dithers

Parrots are quite tough fish actually and would be OK with these.

Texas cichlid male will also develop a hump.
