Blue ram male or female?

is this a male or female? Or is it too young to sex? It is a German blue ram cichlid

Thanks how can I tell the difference between a male and female I would like to add a female with him

Pretty sure its a female. Males wont have blue spots on their black spots. This one clearly has that.

It doesnt have a pink belly though so maybe he's right ? look close at its belly. If its pinkish/red its a female

Its male, no pink belly gives it away. No males do not have light blue spots on their black spot. His are not light, the spots would be the same color on the face as in the black spot. Also the dorsal fin on the male will be detatched and/or much longer than the female. But the easiest way to tell is a pinkish reddish belly is female.
