Blue Rams

Why is it that they are called German blue rams when they don't even come from Europe?

I think it is because at one time all the major breeders were from Germany. I prefer just to call them blue rams.

Yep. Agreed.

Wild Blue Rams are usually less brightly colored that the bred German Blues (though of course this is not always true). In the wild variety you usually get quieter, but beautiful colors. In the Germans you tend to get astoundingly bright blue, green and red colors--these usually appear as medium-sized irridescent spots.

Just a quick question, I was at http://www.deathbydyeing.org/colormedead.htm and noticed that on the list of injected fish was the German Blue Ram. The site doesn't show a picture of this particular fish. How can I tell if they are injected at the [acronym:e2fd9b65d1="Local Fish Store"]lfs[/acronym:e2fd9b65d1]? Are all German Blue Rams injected, or just some of them (like the Blood Parrots)?
