I have had three blue rams for about six months (2 males, 1 female.) I just recently moved them into their own 29 gallon tank. They where doing fine for a couple of weeks until last night both of the males where dead, they female was still alive but didn't look good. I let the tank cycle for atleast two months. I used silica sand for the substrate, which I thought was fine and I'm wondering if that had anything to do with the deaths.

Thanks

I also want to know why mine died. I had it with a small angelfish in a 10 gal. I kept the ph at 6.5 using a some stuff called Proper ph. do you think this could have caused the death?

I understand that Rams have a short life span. Is it possible that LFS's sell old Rams and they are not able to take the stress of tank moves?
