Blue Rams spawned twice in 9 days!

Is that normal? It just seems awfully quick to me. I wonder if that could be caused by hormone injections.

They first spawned on 3/20 and then again yesterday (3/29). Could she have been holding all of those eggs and just released them at different times? I was expecting it to take at least 3 weeks before seeing another spawn. This one has me puzzled...

It's not unusual when they are cared for properly. I don't have experience with GBR's, but my keyhole cichlids (dwarf cichlid) did the same thing once, 2 spawns within 7 days. Just shows that you are taking good care of them! Congrats!

Jchillin hears surf in the shell
ie: the female did not drop the entire load of available eggs. This is not so uncommon as Billsgate mentions.

Hey Max how's the new fry going. Did you pull the eggs this time or ley moma have a go at them???

Hopfully I'll be joining you in the GBR frys before long. I had a ladie friend of mine send me a wild pair of gbr's and now my young female is chasing the wild male around. I have noticed they are doing the dance of love the last two days. Now there clening up a rock in the very back of the tank. Wish me luck on he future frys.LOL
