I was looking to have a bottom center fish for my community tank and my research lead me to Rams!
I believe she/he is still young because she/he is still small in size (similar to my platy's sizes). And her/his condition in the petstore made me want to buy her/him. She/he was the only one left in the tank too. So far, after a day in my aquarium, she/he isn't very active, but maybe shes/hes still getting used to the new environment. However I think she/he is adorable and she/he does stay around the bottom of the tank.
-Can someone help me identify the sex of my ram? Im leaning towards female though, because of the fins.
-Should I get another ram (from another fish store), so that I have one female and one male pair? Or am I better better off just having a single in a community tank?
Im kind of new to having a cichlid, and my community tank has 3 guppy, 4 platy, 10 neon tetra, 4 cory, 4 oto, and 1 dwarf gourami.
