Hey guys, I'm new here and I have this question on my mind that concerns me.

I have a pair of bolivian rams and they've spawned 3 times now (3-4 months ago). They were unsuccessful batches since my male ate all the fries. My male is ready to spawn again by showing all his colors and aggression. However, my female is refusing to give him any attention. She sometimes showed some interest but then she backs off. My question is, can my female give up spawning since the male keeps eating the baby? Is that possible? And next time, should I separate the male from the fries?

Thanks

I also want to know what I can do to help initiate the actual spawning. The water temp is already at 82 degrees F. What should I feed it etc. Should I change some water?
