Hello, I have been keeping Malawi Mbuna african cichlids for over 30 years on and off. All the tanks I ever had were community tanks. Currently I have a 55 gallon set up with 4 yellow labs, 2 red zebras, 1 Snow White, I auratus,, 3 jJaguars and 1 blue zebra. I also have a 38 bow front with about a dozen or various small peacock cichlids.
I have always wanted to try breeding yellow labs. Can someone give me a detailed step by step explanation as to how I would go about with attempting breeding.
I realize I would have to remove the fish I have seeing I don' have the space for any additional tanks.

Thank you in advance, and any insight will be greatly appreciated.

Breeding mbuna isn’t the problem it’s trying to get rid of all the fry. I’d start with getting fish from different sources to start the process such as Dave’s Rare Fish. If you’re serious about breeding them start with quality stock and not an fish thousands of generations from WC.
