Brichardi / princess cichlid

I have 8 baby princess cichlids in a 55 gallon for about 4 months now

There very shy/boring because they only come out to eat

Can I add any fish to help this ?

Certain livebearers from Central America will work decent in a tank with harder water and will at as dithers. If the brichardi are still young, give it some time, they're generally quite bold as adults and typically don't do well with tankmates when in a breeding colony
