Can i feed my oscar orange slices???

Be read vit C I vital for their diet... And i feed him a cocktail shrimp every few days. I know it's fatty. That's why I wanna boost up the C with some orange or kiwi. His normal diet is Hakira mini cichlid pellet. An Hakiri cichlid staple. I overfeed him.

I used to feed orange slices to goldfish and koi. I don't know why you couldn't.

But wild oscars would eat other fish that have ate vegetation or what not. I knew someone who fed her oscars green beans. That being said I wouldn't give them a veggie based diet.

The pellet based diet with frozen worms/shrimp and live insects are your best bet as far as diet goes. I feed my cichlids live crickets often. And they love them. I wouldn't worry about vitamins as long as you are feeding a quality pellet food as the staple for its diet.

Agreed, and most crickets have a bunch of vitamin C in them already. And calcium. So crickets would definatly be better than oranges
