Can you I.D. these?

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but can you identify what kind of cichlid is and can you tell what gender they are? These are my friends and I don't know anything about these fish I'm more of a peaceful committee fish guy. Thanks for you help!

I agree. I know its not your tank but have your friend do some research on them. They really need sand and shells to hide in to be happy.
