m-man has fishy dreams
cant rid cloudy water

hi, i have a 46 gal tank, rena xp3 filter, lots of lava rock and a cichlid mix substrate,
after i do a w/c i add some water conditioner and some accu-clear, which is a flocculant to calm down what ever gets stirred up. and in a few hours the water is crystal clear, however the next day and the rest of the week the water has this hazy whiteness.
the water parameters are good, i cant figure it out.

pics arn't that good, but its all i can get with this camera

How old is the tank? What are your test results?

I had a similar problem with my tank and never did find a cure for it. It just went away. I assumed it was a bacterial issue and suspect the age question is leading in that direction?

It's probably bacterial as Joe mentioned. You can toss the "clarifiers". They usually don't work or just mask the problem.
