Now would I still have too empty it completely when a new female is holding or will it be balanced enough from the pwc

Something you'll have to simply test and see - theoretically it should be very close, maybe close enough that no acclimation is needed. I wouldn't transfer without testing some basics like pH however, as even a slight variation might be enough to stress her into spitting or swallowing the eggs.

Either/or the females or the fry - you're not going to want to place either into the tank without first checking to make sure there is minimal to no chemical differences. Once you determine what transfer of water schedule you need to maintain to keep the chemistry the same between the two tanks, you should be fine, but till you figure it out, you'll need to test to avoid stressing the fish.
