looks oddly like a mikrogeophagus ramirezi, but super washed out...Where'd you get it, how long have you had it, and how big is it?

We got it at Petco. The tag on the tank said Blue Ram but we didn't believe it because the coloring didn't match. It was just real mellow and we like it.

Yeah, it's a severely stressed out ram. I'd leave your lights off for a least a few hours, if not a couple days

It's a stressed out Mikrogeophagus altispinosus (Bolivian Ram), leave the lights out in the tank for a couple days. Also be sure there are plenty if hiding spots for him/her.

Will the lights being off for a few days hurt my plants? He/her has plenty of places to hide in the plants however, it is always out and about.
