Cichlid naming?

Just wondering what the process is for renaming cichlids and recategorising - noticed lots of names have been changed over the last view years and always wondered who makes the final choice wether to move a cichlid to a different group etc

Prettty good read, this is constantly changing more so now since the use of DNA testing, this helps them place in the correct specific genus.
