Cichlids fish

I purchased last week 2 types of cichlid fish, but honestly I don't know what type of Cichlid fish they are. Attached are pictures in order to help in identifying them.

One more question, how can we differentiate the female from the male?

The first one is a Lake Malawi Mbuna. The stripes indicate a possible zebra of some kind. I do not recognize it off the top of my head, but later on today I will do further research into it.

The second one, I have no clue. I would assume South American.

how big is #2?
might be far from it but i'm thinking a juvi or female cichlasoma salvini ?

The body structure of the second one does look like a cichlasoma salvini. But it doesn't have the yellowish coloration.

At any rate, I would choose either the African or the South American. The two should NOT be mixed.
