Cichlids stratching their sides on sand

Hello,

I rearranged tank this morning and gave them a bigger area for them to dig since moving the decorations ive noticed a few fish turning on their sides scraping the bottom. Is this a cause for concern?

Mine do that after water changes. I think it's a sign of dominance, but I'm not 100% positive.

Unless they are "flashing off" a lot, no I don't think you need to worry

It has to do with the gh/kh of your water most of the time.

Check you water parameters. High nitrates can cause flashing. While moving things about you could have stirred up some muck.
