color change in chiclids

well i havent surely ided the fish yet but he is a light blue then his stripes are dark blue/black and when he moves his stripes come back and they arent always there so is this normal or whats it mean. and for the id his stripes dont go all the way down just come to a point

I agree a pic will be helpful in an ID. Cichlids do color change sometimes, it is normal depending on the cichlid you have.

i would say a kenyi or a demasoni by the sound but i cannot be sure
