Common plecos

Hello,

I've had my common pleco for 2. 1/2 yrs. He/she tends to be pooping 24/7. Is there a way I can control this w a certain food or meds. My aquarium is spotless other than his waste. I'm trying my best not to get rid of him. :/

Haha yep, they are just real poop machines on the inside. I guess you could feed less but I don't know if the fish would like that.

Is it in a cichlid tank? Just wondering since this is the cichlid section, you may get more replies in the general FW section.

I agree BTW, commons are just lazy poop machines lol.

I've had a few common plecos. Honestly I would be more inclined to medicate if they stopped pooping than if they wouldn't stop.
