I just got some convicts dumped on me, which would have great if I had been prepared. What is the smallest tank convicts can be kept in?

30g would be great. I personally do all my cons in a 20g long.

No, they get their name honestly..... They are quite aggressive ESP when spawning

Definately not.Pound for pound convicts are as tough as they come especially when spawning.They would kill the Bolivians in a heartbeat!!!

No way. Don't keep cons with anything smaller than them. I probably wouldn't keep them with anything though.

Just to kind of update. The convicts that got ''dumped'' on me on Nov 13 started to kill my other fish 1 by 1 on 15th. So I had to move my fish to my other 20gal, I lost a few more fish because as a rule I only add 2 fish at a time into a tank. On Nov 20 I noticed that they had babies jumping around in a cave. What do I do now? Those look like a lot of babies and I have nowhere to put them. How long do I have before they actually start swimming?

Nope they won't eat the fry. I keep my fry in with the parents until they are big enough to give to the LFS.

Yes Garfy, they have had eggs and now they are popping around like jumping beans.

How old should they be before I rehome them?

Whenever you feel they are big enough. Or just as the LFS what size they want them. And you probably won't get much. I usually get maybe $5 for 12-15. I usually just trade them though.
