I was just wonderin at what size do convicts mature, my female is between an inch and an inch and a half, it is turning really red so i definatly know it is a female, the male i have with it is the smallest of the three but he is still about 2 inches longso i am wonderin how big the female needs to be to breed???

My female started laying eggs at around two inches. I rearranged my tank one weekend and they paired up right away. I also have success feeding bloodworms to encourage breeding. Don't worry, you won't be able to stop them in a few months!!! It is very exciting to see a swarm of baby cons being guarded by their parents. I have a couple of babies that have grown to almost an inch!
Have fun! |
