Presently I have a single Jewel Chichlid (5" or so) and a DBN Plec (4" or so) in a 20L with a Penguin Biowheel 170.

In the future the Jewel will become king of 125 gallon tank stocked mainly with cats/loaches. I would like to seed the canister for the 125gal, Rena Filstar XP3, in the 20L. I know the plec won't care, but I am a bit concerned about the Jewel. Everything I have ever read says that it is a river fish, but that doesn't necessarily means that it enjoys current.

I just realized that in my canister test run that the outlet hose was kinked a bit, and that the filter would produce a ridiculous amount of current in such a small tank. I also realized that the media baskets were large enough to accomidate the whole filter cartridge from the HOB, making seeding the new canister a bit easier.
