I was think of putting an aquarium together to house these two fish any ideas that could help. I have a 160L or an 80L. I was thinking about. 6 L. ocellatus and 5-8 Cyps.

IMO, the tank size is too small for cyps.

Do the Cryps need more space. I know the L. ocellatus could be ok in the 80L. I was trying to have more than just the L.o. they stay low n the rest of tank is wasted. What would u recommend for a tank size?

Yes, and they need length for swim room. A 4' tank (75,90,120G) would be the minimum that I'd try them in and larger (longer) would be better IMO.

Thx i have to go back to the drawing board. I would like to have both but only room for one tank. Thank you again. Cheers

Occelatus would be fine for either tank. Very cool fish.

Yeah I have had my eye on them for some time. I keep mainly south american fish. Time to get something new. I will start with them. Thx
