demas holding?

i see 2 or 3 of my demasoni are holding but idk how long they have been holding. so how long before i strip her???

Wait untill you see them free swimming and her sucking them back up when you come up to the tank. Then you'd be safe to strip out the fry.

Of all the mbuna species that I've kept, demasoni's seem to release their fry the earliest (nearly always 14-16 days after the spawning, compared with 18-21 for most of the other species).

I usually net the mother at around day 12 move her to an unilluminated maternity tank where she releases them naturally within a couple of days.
