I have three pigeon blood discus in my tank, and all are nearly adult size. In thier back finnage, and tail I can see a dark charcole black coloring, it has nearly colored the entire tale of one pitch black. In addition to that they all have small black spots of coloration all throughout them.

I have seen pictures of pigeon blood discus online with the same coloration, although is it normal? Could there be a parameter of my water that is making this coloration prominent in the Discus?

ph = 6.8
Temp = 84 D F
Nitrate = .5 ppm
Nitrite = 0.0 ppm

This is very normal for pidgeon bloods. As the fish mature, the patterns will continue to change. Expecially the black pebbling. It's all in the genetics.
