Discus tank mates

Any recommendations? Besides cardinals? Would love to keep my black skirt tetras in the new discus tank but the temperature will be sitting at 85 so i think it will be too warm for them sadly.

Be careful of driving your bioload too high in a discus tank. Since you are working with a small tank to begin with I would be hesitant to add much more than a group of cardinals or neons.

The other discus tank has a good amount of fish in there and have never had an issue. at least 50% wc are done every other day so i'm sure that helps the cause. Although people say you can put gouramis with discus, yet gouramis thrive at same temp as black skirt tetra? Maybe the two would be compatible? (Discus and a few black skirt)

Rams are meant to be ok with discus. You can get some nice vibrant colours on rams.
