Does anyone know of small SA cichlids that are less than 5-6 inches full grown? I'd prefer they only get around 4 inches at most. Preferable red in color.

Yea they're kinda cool. I wish there was a dwarf fire mouth cichlid that'd be nice. I'd like apistos but they're very expensive

Apistogramma
Nannacara
Ivannacara
Dicrossus
Some crenicichla (compressiceps, regani, etc)
Telocichla
Laetacara
Biodotema
Mikrogeophagus
Cleithracara

Those are all small SA or have some in the genus

I love my keyholes. Not the most colorful fish, but they are wonderful. They stay around the 4 inch range, and are very peaceful

Thanks for the list :) and thanks for all your opinions guys and gals!! I have a 20 long so ill defiantly check out keyholes and all the other species :)

I wouldn't put Apistos in a 20 long. Rams are a better option because they rarely get over 3 inches.

My Bolivian and Super Red Apistogramma males, the Bolivian loves the camera the Apistogramma not as much.
