EBJD Physiology Question

I have heard recently that all EBJD's are male. I was wondering if anyone had any info that may contradict this. I recently added my EBJD to my 55 gallon tank in which resides a regular JD. They seem to have taken an extreme liking to each other. The EBJD appears to have a slightly swollen abdomen, and I am waiting to see if an egg tube drops. My regular JD has gotten paler since I added the EBJD, but does not appear stressed at all. Seems a little more nervous when I approach the tank. Again, they are not fighting at all, they are sharing the same cave in the tank, and are inseperable.

Not true, where most EBJD are males they're are female as well. Heres a with a female from Jeff Rapps cichlids( I've ordered from him the past, some of the highest qaulity fish youll find).

Interesting. I guess time will tell. Thanks for the input. Still waiting to see if it is an egg tube that is dropping.....
